The Magic Wishing Ball is another one of my favourites. I bought the ball from the Reject Shop.
I use this ball in mindfulness sessions. Children sit in a circle and the ball is passed around the circle. Each child shakes the ball vigorously then holds it still and watches the glitter inside flutter around. Then they make a silent wish and when the glitter settles to the bottom the ball is passed to the next child. Children seem to get as much enjoyment shaking the ball and making a wish as they do watching someone else have their turn. There is never any rush or impatience as the children seem mesmerised by the magic ball.
